The Hudson River Environmental Society will be honoring three dedicated professionals for their commitment to better understand and protect the natural environments of the Hudson River and watershed. Gretchen Stevens from Hudsonia, Ltd. will be presented with the Outstanding Educator Award for her biodiversity classes she holds with local communities; Dr. Gary Wall with the U.S. Geological Survey will be presented with the Outstanding Practitioner Award for his dedication and technical contributions to establishing and maintaining the Hudson River Environmental Conditions Observing System (HRECOS); and Nava Tabak of Scenic Hudson will be presented with the Outstanding Environmental Researcher Award for her work predicting the future location and composition of Hudson River tidal wetlands as sea level rises.
