Hi HRES members and friends.

We all hope that you and your families are getting to enjoy this amazing summer 2025.

We had our monthly online Executive Committee meeting on July 9, 2025.

Here is a summary of the agenda topics we discussed:

• 2025 Symposium Planning Status: Chuck – Chuck has been coordinating the symposium with his contacts at HRF, NYNJHEP and NYSDEC. The working title is “State of Aquatic Habitat Restoration on the Hudson River Estuary”. Tentatively looking at a date during the third week of October (21st, 22nd or 23rd). The venue is currently being explored. More details will be presented in my August email.
• Treasurer’s Report: David – Accounts stand at $40,000 balance for July. 
• Winter Newsletter: David – Plans are to get the next edition out to our membership in December.  
• 2025 Leadership Awards Dinner: Chuck – Our annual Leadership Awards dinner will be in January/February 2026. We will send an email out this fall requesting nominations.
• September Board Meeting: Lucy will send out an email to our board members to check the availability of meeting dates in September.
• Memberships: Jim: Membership renewals will start in October. I will send out email reminders this fall.
• Website: Jim – Jeff added our Summer newsletter to the site.

 Next Executive Committee online meeting is scheduled for August 13, 2025.
