Hi HRES members and friends.
Wow. Another beautiful Hudson Valley summer is quickly coming to an end. But the good news is that an amazing Hudson Valley fall is just around the corner.
We had our monthly online Executive Committee meeting on August 13, 2025.
Here is a summary of the agenda topics we discussed:
- 2025 Symposium Planning Status: Chuck – Chuck has continued to coordinate the symposium activities. A draft program has been sent to the Symposium committee. We intend to hold the event at the New York Parks-Taconic Regional Office in Staatsburg, NY. We are tentatively looking at a date during the third week of October (21st, 22nd 0r 23rd). More details will be presented in my September email.
- Treasurer’s Report: David – Accounts stand at $40,000 balance for August.
- Winter Newsletter: David – Plans are still to publish the next edition in December.
- 2025 Leadership Awards Dinner: Chuck – We will send out an email to the membership in October/November requesting nominations for our annual Leadership Awards dinner. We anticipate that the event will be held at Mahoney’s Irish Pub in Poughkeepsie, New York. The award categories are described on our website: www.hres.org.
- September Board Meeting: Lucy: Board Meeting will occur on September 4, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
- Memberships: Jim: Membership renewals will start in October. I will send out email reminders this fall.
- Website: Jim – Jeff has updated the content this month.
Next Executive Committee online meeting is scheduled for September 10, 2025.
