On April 7, 1970, HRES was established as a non-advocacy, not-for-profit organization whose mission was to provide a forum for people in the Hudson River Watershed to discuss information about ongoing studies being conducted in the Hudson River Watershed. Fifty years plus later, we are still going strong.

McKeon Research Grant Application

 

The Hudson River Environmental Society announces the availability of small research grants for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students interested in undertaking research on Hudson Valley environmental issues.  These McKeon Research Grants honor the more than 20 years of service by Warren McKeon as the Society’s Executive Director.  Awards support special onetime projects that enhance the Hudson River or advance the Society’s research goals.

CONFERENCES AND EVENTS

The best known activities of HRES are its conferences and workshops on subjects of current environmental interest. These programs draw participation from the Hudson Valley region and neighboring states. HRES has organized topical programs on such subjects as:
