HRES Honored Three Award Winners at Dinner

HRES held its Annual Awards dinner at Mahoney’s Irish Pub in Poughkeepsie on January 25, 2024. Our awards program recognizes the contributions that individuals have made toward providing a better understanding of the environmental issues facing the citizens of the Hudson Valley. We were pleased to present the following awards to three individuals who the board felt represented the ideals and spirit of our program.

  • Outstanding Environmental Researcher Award - Wes Eakin - NYSDEC
  • Distinguished Service Award - John Lipscomb - Riverkeeper
  • Outstanding Practitioner Award - Dan Miller - NYSDEC

The venue and host were very nice, the food and drinks were good, and I think that all 47 of us had an enjoyable evening getting together with our Hudson River Valley friends on a chilly winter night.
